Great News for Texas Democrats
As some of you may know Tom Delay will have to leave his name on the ballot for the November election for his District 22 seat. This put the Republican Party in a hard spot in that now they will have to try to wage a write in campaign. Just getting a write in campaign for one person was supposed to be a hard enough thing to do. Now things just got worse for the Texas Republican Party. Yesterday the mayor of Sugarland announced that he would wage a write in campaign for the November election. Today, a Houston city councilwoman announced that she too would wage a write in campaign for the election. It is possible that things could get much worse for the Texas Republican Party depending on how egoistical some of the members of the party are. The number of write in candidates could grow in that there were a number of Republicans who expressed a desire to run for Delay's seat when it came out that he would not run for the seat. So at this point things are starting to look really good for Nick Lampson. Now he should just needs to start running adds.

2. erp, have you seen our new dial up screen machines? They
make it VERY difficult to write in ANYBODY.

If you don't go here for local District "C'mon, 22!" dirt, you should!

3. I would imagine that it is illegal for people working the voting
precincts to remind people about their ability to do a write in. We need to make sure that this does not occur.
