My LTTE urging Lieberman to end his bid for reelection.
I just got word that the New London Day will be running my LTTE:

To the Editors of The Day:

I'm writing to express my disappointment in Senator Lieberman's decision to press forward with his bid for reelection, and to urge him to reconsider.

Senator Lieberman has said he wishes to give a wider pool of CT voters the chance to vote for him. Is he implying that our traditional nominating process is unfair?

The Republicans have chosen their nominee. The Democrats have chosen theirs. Thousands of previously unaffiliated voters joined the Democratic party in order to make their voices heard.

I believe Senator Lieberman is sincere when he says he believes he is a better candidate than Mr. Lamont. However, the people of Connecticut have told him they disagree.

History will remember Senator Lieberman more kindly if he respects their decision.

Love your avatar. Mind if I copy it? :hi:

I also called Senator Dodd today and asked him to ask his old buddy Joe to pull out. I laid out my reasons, (diverts activists' funds and attention from other Dem candidates, etc.) then asked, "Is Senator Dodd getting many calls about this?"

"Yes," she said, sounding a bit beleaguered.

"Is everyone saying the same thing?"

"Yes."

3. Dear Joe
In a rational world, you don't get to run as a candidate for a party and then run *against* the candidate of that party!
