Rush Limbaugh on Raising Money for Joe Lieberman .....

"You know, money is of course a crucial factor, and Lieberman would be at a disadvantage in getting the money. But he does have a track record, vice presidential nominee six years ago, 18 years in the Senate, name ID. (interruption) Well, I think that's... You know, H.R. just said I could help him. No question! I helped Carl McCall when the Democrats abandoned him in his quest for the gubernatorial nomination in New York, and I'm going to tell you, a lot of Republicans will be raising money for Lieberman. It will happen. So this is not done with yet........It's going to get vicious."

Rush Limbaugh, "The Dream Outcome" August 9, 2006

2. This is the only solution ...
I would be willing to accept Lieberman being in the party if:

He were to accept all kinds of Rush-type inspired GOP money, not spend a cent, drop out of the race in October and doante all of Rush's money to the DLC.

This is a workable solution. Ya think?

4. They want him in there in the worst way. It's almost like they consider
him one of their own.

6. And Rove will supply the talking points
"We are at war with a brutal enemy," said Lieberman during a campaign stop Thursday at a Waterbury pizza joint. "How the heck can we be in a battle in which we are fighting as Democrats and Republicans against each other when these terrorists certainly don't distinguish based on party affiliation? They want to kill any and all of us."

"I'm worried that too many people, both in politics and out, don't appreciate the seriousness of the threat to American security and the evil of the enemy that faces us - more evil or as evil as Nazism and probably more dangerous that the Soviet Communists we fought during the long Cold War," Lieberman said.

"I want to make sure that I satisfy my responsibilities and use my seniority in the Senate to make the future of the families of Connecticut safer than it would otherwise be. I don't think that Ned Lamont gets that and that's a serious difference between us."

"If we just pick up like Ned Lamont wants us to do, get out by a date certain, it will be taken as a tremendous victory by the same people who wanted to blow up these planes in this plot hatched in England. It will strengthen them and they will strike again."

7. "More evil... than Nazism" (2nd paragraph): Is he SERIOUS? This self-
important fat-faced fuck should meet with some Holocaust survivor, look them in the eye, and tell them that. What a contemptible old dirtbag.

8. Does all the R support for Joe make you a little suspicious - was he
valuable to them in more ways than we know about?

Their support is bizarre.

I'm going to keep remembering that Joe did it to himself. I'm going to remember it every time murdoch/time-warner/ge gives Leiberman a free ride and doesn't mentions Lamont, doesn't show Lamonts face, doesn't provide coverage of Lamont talking about the 1issues.

We should track the money that comes to him from Republicans. When is the info available for broadcast?
