Very savvy, Ms. Wonkette -- Temper, temper Joe.

I thought this wonkette article was very prescient...

Day two of Joe Lieberman not being the Democratic nominee and he is feeling GREAT.

Most Democrats said they would not pressure Mr. Lieberman to step aside for now, saying he was too angered by his loss to accept such counseling.

(who's being quoted here is not clear, but I've heard the same from other places.)

Joe had better watch himself. Because what's good for the goose is good for the gander, and just one outburst, or one bad facial tick caught by the right camera and...

The latter is less likely, because Joe's got years of practice with keeping his face harmless looking. At this point, he may not even be capable of a menacing scowl. Though, we know he can at least make the angry baby face.

I think we are about to see how many licks it gets to get to the center of that glued-on countenence.

3. It's up to us to make Joe drop his stupid quest before

he does any further damage. He won't listen to other Democrats but he will listen to the comedians. When he sees himself becoming a national joke rather than some sort of noble "principled" crusader, he WILL stop this madness. Just start morphing him into Katherine Harris and I promise you that he'll get out--with lots of bitterness and blaming "partisanship" etc. but he will drop it and not a moment too soon either.

4. I know someone who did not give in to anger, just supported the winner.

And formed his own group to help elect candidates, traveled and campaigned for them....then took another job.

Lieberman has no dibs on anger, a lot of us had it back then. But we turned it into something productive.

7. I think that Joe has one this Dean didn't when his "outburst" was

caught on camera: The MSM is actually SHILLING for Lieberman. They were out for blood with Howard when he "screamed". My guess is having Joe out there badmouthing Democrats left and right because he's "angry" at his loss just makes good tv and press, and they'll protect him and shill for him as long as they can.
