KO Was Amazing...Fantastic Commentary

Keith Olberman gave an amazing speech tonight to close Countdown. If you didn't see it, you must. It was one of the most eloquent commentaries I have ever heard on this criminal administration. If you ever doubted that at least one person in the MSM has it right...well, it was amazing.

Keith needs to hear from all of us, thanking him for his courage and character.

But I worry that it was a little too intellectual for the average IQ, so I don't think he convinced many Bush supporters.

That is afterall why they support Bush and Rumsfeld, everything is simple; just obey.

Do you believe there is anything at all KO could say that would sway a Bush supporter? To them he is a liberal loon, and not to be listened to no matter how unassailable his logic is.

To address the OP however, yes that was an incredible bit of commentary at the close of the show. I went from absentmindedly hearing it over my shoulder while perusing DU to being riveted to the television.

14. It was Intense.
I think Keif made it clear that they have been wrong so consistently that they are not to be trusted. That wasn't too complex.

His point about destroying Democracy was clear also.

I don't really believe in modifying what you're saying too much, but you do hear that criticism: Democrats don't talk to regular people (because we don't say we read Shakespeares).

If we had just a couple more like him, America would be so much better off.

Murrow obviously inspired him, so hopefully he is inspiring somebody else now.

KO will be something to look forward to earlier.

Do you know if something like YouTube or some other source will have a video of KO tonight? What he said was so intellectually rich it bears re-viewing and more thought.

Alone in my living room, I found his speech simply thrilling. This is the stuff REAL news commentators are made of ... like Murrow, whom he quoted.

I thought of emailing him to congratulate him on his wonderful, historic, fact-based commentary, and I think I will do that shortly.

His soaring criticism against the current administration, specifically, Cheney, reached highs I have only heard reached in the public over the last five years by Al Gore. God, what a speech, and factually unimpeachable.
