5. Are they winding down on interrogations?

He wasn't too concerned about following the Geneva Convention for the past 6 years, why is he suddenly so interested in changing/clarifying the wording? He coudln't care less about those who are doing the interrogations, he's suddenly concerned about his own neck. If they clarify it to the nth degree, he can now say, "Well, we tried to follow it, but it was SO vague...needed clarification, don't you see?"

Where was the pounding by other reporters? bush is weak, he confabulates, his answers are childish and he's lost support on this issue from some key repuplican players....so why isn' he being HAMMERED by the press? He's a sitting duck, and the press shoots at the sky.

...trying to figure out how to get Chimpy to perform properly---whatever they're doing now ain't workin'. I think we're going to see the President become inaccessible to the press for a few weeks now, perhaps yet another extended stay in Crawford or Camp David. Chimpy needs decompression time or he's gonna blow.

9. They probably thought he looked like a strong leader - chopping with

his hand, pointing his finger and using presidential words like "vital" and "clarify".

The fact that he sounded like an idiot if you listened to him doesn't concern them as long as he gets a poll bump. If the polls go down, THEN they will be concerned.

...his pathetic public performances of late could actually help his poll numbers, but I suppose the Hitler-like gesturing and un-presidential childish ranting might breathe new energy into the fanatical freeper subset.
