When I was an Army Lieutenant deployed to Bosnia in the late 1990s, I witnessed first-hand how NATO and General Clark’s leadership during that crisis helped stabilize and bring peace to a violent and war-torn region. I learned first-hand, working side-by-side French, British, and Russian soldiers, how American involvement can strengthen, not alienate, alliances and enhance our influence around the world. I learned then that General Clark's vision and ability to understand and influence people made a difference and was essential in securing a peace and achieving lasting results. Wes Clark understands the value and importance of peace, not just because he fought and lived through war, but because he led a coalition of nations to end it.
Today, more than ever, we need a President experienced in foreign policy and who truly cares about Americans and our problems. General Clark understands this and rightly recognizes that we can't be safe at home and solve our domestic challenges — the economy, jobs, healthcare and education — unless we're secure and respected abroad. General Clark can do this because he has done it before. For 34 years, Wes Clark spent his life taking care of our nations problems by defending this country and taking care of soldiers and their families. He entered this Presidential race because he truly cares about America. He wants to make it a better place and bring back a higher standard of leadership. More than any other presidential candidate, Wes Clark is best prepared to lead us through these times.
General Clark is not a career politician and can change how things are being done. He is a patriot — a diplomat — a problem solver. Simply put, Wesley Clark is a leader who possesses the wisdom, integrity, energy and experience to bring people together, build a better America and inspire us again.
That is “likable”, and come November, I believe that undecided voters will realize that too.
This is a critical time in American history and Wes Clark is a special kind of leader. That is why I am supporting General Wesley Clark for President. I hope that you will do the same and vote for him as our Democratic nominee.
