Oh, lets give them a surprise alright.
The election is on Tuesday, November 7. 2006.

Let us all take the day off and count the number of people actually voting.

Polling place by polling place.

I bet that will seriously cut into the "cemetary" vote for the R candidates.

Maybe we have to do that.

1. It would take some coordination.
We would need to get a large percentage of the precincts covered too. Video cameras allowable?

But we have time.

3. I'm up for it. I've still got some vacation time left, and there are 2
precincts that vote in my polling location. PM me if you can get this put together.

4. Contact the local Democratic Headquarters or some of the campaigns
in your area. They may be looking for poll watchers. Hint, if you do this, have some of the pertinant details of your state's eleciton law with you. (For example, in Minnesota a poll watcher would be well advised to have the list of what constitutes valid id/proof of residency for voters registering on election day.)

If there are problems, you'd also want to have phone numbers for the county clerk, secretary of state and/or attorney general's office. As well as numbers for various candidates and party headquarters.
