White House Caving In On Itself And It's Congress
The ABC World News Tonight opening segment (ten minutes) was NOTHING but Foley, Iraq, Woodward's scathing book on the lead up and decisions about Iraq.... my goodness.

I couldn't watch that without saying "damn, they're screwed!"

it looked HORRIBLE for them, just HORRIBLE.

It's like saying, "Hey if the Republicans don't get your sons killed over in Iraq, one of the Republicans in Congress will get him!"

2. Foley gets Abramoff off the front page, and the "Make Torture Legal" bill
Not sure it's really a plus. I would prefer more stories explaining how utterly unamerican the detainee bill is. Torture does not become us.

And what of coverage of Abramoff practically living in the white house?

sigh.

Do you think America can recover from the *bush mis-administration?

4. To "Joe six-pack" and his wife

The Foley thing goes a long way. People expect politicians to be corrupt on some level.

5. America will recover
if we are given time. If we keep going down Bush's rate of desention, no. But, I have a belief that enough people see through their patheticness and will vote against them. I said last week that the House was nearly a LOCK to be Dem, and now, I really believe that, if it's not, bar some big deal (Osama caught, which would be too obvious though and backfiring imo) we should have a good increase of 15-20 seats. The senate looks takable at this point, but only if things go are way. I wish the guys who are nearly out of it poll wise would go hard core on the repuke and see if that gains a lot, by using the torture issue in a very true and in your face way about what will be done to our servicemen.
