White House Counselor Dan Bartlett expects criminal probe of Foley
"The White House and the president were just as shocked as everyone else," White House Counselor Dan Bartlett said on CNN's Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer.

Bartlett said he expects a criminal investigation of Foley.

"We're going to get to the bottom of this, the leadership is, and that's very important because we need to make sure the page system is one in which children can come up here and work and make sure they are protected," Bartlett said.

--> In a joint statement, House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Illinois, Majority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, and Majority Whip Roy Blunt, R-Ohio, said: "The improper communications between Congressman Mark Foley and former House congressional pages is unacceptable and abhorrent. It is an obscene breach of trust. His immediate resignation must now be followed by the full weight of the criminal justice system."
It's official, "Rove says go with it" then bury it until after the elections.

3. Nancy Pelosi: GOP "swept Foley matter under the rug"
Pelosi's letter followed a statement issued Saturday by the Democratic National Committee saying that at least one member of the GOP House leadership, Rep. Tom Reynolds, had "known about the situation for months and did nothing about it."
