A brief time line of recent political events
Edited on Sun Oct-01-06 07:39 PM by keopeli
Preliminary time line:

  • GOP learns of damaging conduct of a Republican Senator - 5 years ago
  • Bush slips dramatically in polls - 18 months ago
  • Woodward notifies WH he's writing this damaging book - months ago
  • ABC produces a 9/11 memorial with a fictitious slant against Clinton - many months ago
  • GOP strategy - over-the-top zealots for national security at all cost

  • Current time line:
  • Sen. Allen calls reporter a racial slur on film - Aug 15
  • ABC airs PT911 - September 11
  • Polls fail to change after seemingly orchestrated uptick for 911
  • Bush makes televised speeches to advocate "staying the course". - mid-September
  • Clinton refutes lies live on Fox - Sept. 25
  • Rice says claim they did nothing before 911 flatly false, cites 9/11 Commission. - Sept. 27
  • US Congress revokes Geneva Convention and Habeas Corpus - Sept. 29
  • Woodward book is leaked early. - Sept. 29
  • Congressman Foley thrown to the wolves by a leak. - Sept. 29
  • Sixth Senate seat moves into play in Tennessee - Sept. 30 Rasmussen
  • Bush approval in decline to 39% - Sept. 30 Rasmussen
  • Democrats introduce last-minute bill to investigate Foley cover-up, passed unanimously
  • Revelations that Powell was fired, Condi is lying, Kissinger is involved, Rumsfeld has a free pass all emerge - Oct 1
  • 911 Commissioners shocked by revelations, weren't informed of July 01 meeting - Oct 1

One month until the election. I hope noone dies this year.

Would you consider this a political shift?

    What is Rove's "October Surprise"?

Can this election be stolen, too?

    1. There are actually seven seats in play
    Missouri
    Montana
    Ohio
    Pennsylvania
    Rhode Island
    Tennessee
    Virginia

Possibly even Arizona. New Jersey was briefly in play for the GOP, but I think most polls now show Menendez with a lead.
