I sense a disturbance in the force...
...Jimmy Carter, perhaps the last honest American President spoke of a "National Malaise",and just today we have seen it come home to roost. After 26 years of Republican right wing, and yes, even Democratic "Centrist" doctrine, we have come to this-pedophilia and misogynist execution slayings of Amish schoolgirls. Two sicknesses beyond description. And both just outward signs of inner malaise caused by a falling away from what our country once was...
For two and a half decades we have steadily eroded the values of both our founders and the architects of our great social engineering experiment.Instead we followed the teachings of Ronald Reagan, a man, whom, when faced with the prospect of the kidnapping and conversion of a daughter of wealth, when forced to deliver food to the poor remarked "This would be a good time for an outbreak of botulism."....later his VP and ex-Cia spook vice president would be implicated in drug running and central american death squads. Then came Bush the first, grandson of Nazi financiers with possible ties to Dallas on November 22 1963 and Definite ties to Iran/Contra. Followed by Clinton, the first democrat of the century to run US policy to the right-he did build a surplus, but did so by pandering to corporations and demonizing "welfare queens"-those most vulnerable to attacks with his "welfare to work" initiative-when he promised a comprehensive overhaul of national health care-well,what how'd that work out???Next up, George the 2nd-what can I say? The public record is a "fortunate son" who was Connecticut born, prep schooled, and silver spooned to the ultimate degree. When males his age are being killed in "Southeast Asia" he is accepted to National Guard flight status when his "score" is purported to be a 25-the lowest possible acceptable grade-but of course he was a C- student at Yale.In the guard he sloughs off, misses duty and finally bails his flight physical the year mandatory drug (piss) tests are included. Some years later he begins an oil exploration firm (Arbusto) financed by Salem Bin Laden....then passes thru Harken energy and a sweetheart Texas Rangers ownership deal-all on borrowed money. He becomes a millionaire in his own right when he sells his borrowed 600K stake for 15 M...becomes Texas Governor then President and then a "Cowboy".Then, he is, in the US coincidentally elevated on 9/11 when the brother of his first business investor slams planes into American iconic buildings.Later he introduces several hundred "signing statements" which exempt him from laws legally enacted.Last week he legally had congress give him the right to take any person on the face of the earth including any of your family members into detention-he can legally torture them to any degree he decides, they need not be convicted of a crime and in point of fact, need not even be charged. They may in fact be held for the balance of their natural lifes.Legally.
And now sickness and filth is visited on us and all of it is either condoned by unabridged power or caused by the societal imbalance that unbridled lust causes-you THINK our nation is coming apart-I KNOW it.Our sitting president-the paragon of never before reached power is both easily and arguably, never even ELECTED.
Tonight, I will weep for both molested teenage idealists and Amish schoolgirls. Because they are part of a pattern that has not yet run its course.
To the pretender-I will not threaten you, though I would applaud your death.

2. But which came first?
Is the evil around us due to the administration? Or is the administration due to the evil around us?

I don't pretend to know. I just stay home a lot and work in my garden. There was a good sized rattler in the driveway yesterday. He reminded me of some of the things I've been seeing on TV. But I was able to dispatch of him much more easily.

4. The evil has been here all along.
If you take the long view it becomes apparent that this is the culmination of over a century of working toward one goal, that being the subjugation and enslavement of America.
