The OTHER shoe I'm waiting to hear drop ...
How many parents of pages, especially Republicans, have demanded their kids be sent home immediately?

How many parents of pages have already arrived in DC to get their kids out of there?

Let's not forget who a lot of these parents are - they are RW Christians, many of whom believe that anyone (especially a vulnerable child) can be 'turned' gay via the presence of homosexuals, no less actually being singled out by one.

How many parents are afraid that their country club neighbours will assume they are 'bad parents' if they allow their child to stay in such an environment?

How many parents are afraid their child will be looked at askance forever because they were pages during this episode, and therefore may be presumed to have engaged in a gay liaison with a higher-up during their tenure?

How many parents were proud to have their kids accepted into the page program -- bragged about it to everyone -- only to feel betrayed now by their own party because little Johnnie's proudest moment has now been ruined?

Make no mistake - this is NOT my way of thinking. But for a lot of these people, it is definitely THEIR way of thinking.

Imagine the devastating PR for the Repubs if it comes to light that THEIR OWN STAUNCHEST SUPPORTERS did not trust them with their kids, despite all assurances that Foley was just 'one bad apple'?

The truth eventually finds its way out -- and it's going to be yet another disaster for the GOP.

I hope it happens soon ...

1. Not one?
Connections or righteous wrath?
Connections or good parenting?

Seems to me that Republicans have already made those decisions.

2. Even those drunk on the kool-aid ...
... draw the line at having their kids sexually molested for the sake of the party - especially when they believe that their precious child can be 'turned gay' as part of the bargain.

Lots of Republicans make bad political decisions when it comes to supporting a party that kills, maims, oprhans and tortures little brown Muslim kids on the other side of the world.

They do NOT tend to think the same way when their own kid is being tampered with.
