NPR lets Chomsky be interviewed for a solid hour...

hell has frozen over.

That Libertarian hack, Tom Ashcroft, interviewed Noam on his "On Point" show
today. Basically, he lobbed Noam softballs, which Noam knocked out of the park
in his laid back way.

Instead of the usual one liberal and a pack of conservative attack dogs, they pretty
much gave the show to Noam - except they let Alan Dershowitz (the David Horowitz
of lawyers) try to smear Noam with tired old charges for about five minutes.

I could hardly believe they let this on the air.

Anyone else catch it?

What is this? Throw a sop to the liberals week? Did some liberal make a big donation
to the endless begathon for Non-stop Propagnda from the Right ?

I think my local is just picking it up, at any rate. I heard the tail end of what you mentioned - I was stunned to hear the man, had no idea it was on an hour.

Its produced in Boston, which is why Ashbrook had easy access to Chomsky.
I believe its nationally syndicated; but I could be wrong. Its usually given equal
billing to Teri' Gross's "Fresh Air".
