1. My, Mrs Allen, what a fake, put-on smile you have!
;)

12. Allen goes NOWHERE without his wife...
she's always standing there vapidly staring at him.

either she doesn't trust him, or she's his security blankie. She's his SECOND wife by the way, so it's probably both.

He also seems to think she's some kind of stunning beauty. While I admit she's not unattractive, she's no raving beauty in my opinion.

2. 2 minutes? That is a damn infomercial
Since the attention span of the typical TV watcher is about 15 seconds, I expect this to be a colossal water of money.

3. I saw it on Virginia TV
The fact that his wife just stands there and smiles like a stepford zombie kinda freaked me out so much that I paid no attention to what the bigot said.

Just smiling....staring...smiling...starting...fugging creepy.

5. What's the buzz in VA on this race, underpants? Is it a highly divided
NoVA for Webb, the rest for Allen kind of thing?

Are the Allen supporters actually proud of the fact that he's an obnoxious twit?

8. Hard to say
the polls have it basically split (43% each -no one even has a majority) but Webb has done almost NO commercials anywhere other than maybe in the far SW corner of Va. (a big target of Va. Dems since 2004).

As far as LTTE's and yard signs and bumperstickers I have to say (this is completely subjective of course) that I see Webb stickers on vehicles of makes and models and with other stickers that you wouldn't expect (from a demo marketing stand point). I live in the heart of Eric Cantor ville and I actually see Webb signs all over the place.

DU'er 11Bravo (NoVa) said that all the vets he has talked to are voting Webb. I am playing golf with my buddies on Monday so I can report back to you on how the rank and file whiteboys are looking at this IF they are (these guys are a great barometer of things-I love sitting back and listening to see what is sticking and what is not).

The key seems to be money as usual. Allen has a lot of it but Webb is right there in the polls but hasn't spent hardly anything. Allen will flood the zone this last month but he better have something better than his horribly negative "Women against Webb" ad that is now running (several articles on it and not many good thoughts on it-too mean spirited) Allen in this ad, that you just watched, seemed to call for issues based campaigning but I doubt that that will happen.

Oh Allen has been running an ad about a Webb ad that no one has seen other than on the web (Reagan praising Webb in a speech at Annapolis) and that has had no effect.

6. Oh where to start ....... ?
The stepfordian wife ...... the football coach Dad ....... the football helmet ...... the hand gestures as if he's catching a lateral ........ and then saying ....... nothing, really.

Bring the troops home 'victorious'. Hey Macaca ...... define 'victory'.

That won't entice anyone to vote for him. Instead, it points up how desperate he is.

Who thought that up? His 'strategist', Dick Wad (hams)?

9. Notice that the 'Skins helmet was on a gun cabinet
with a US flag barely visible (hint :-) Johnny Reb ;-) )

It was not nearly as good as I expected. Allen is proving to be a paper Tiger- it's not that you don't agree with him HE doesn't seem to agree with himself...at this point in a MAN'S life he should have figured out what he stands for who he is in some way but Allen seems to be running around with his hair on fire apologizing to everyone for who he portrayed himself as being. Not the stuff of statesmen if you aske me.

15. He's also still dragging around the image of his father in the hopes .....
...... of some reb-off credibility. Kinda like getting in a doper's car and hoping for a contact high.

10. Allen is an exact duplicate of Chucklenuts. They could have put
up a life sized cardboard picture of this asswipe and it would have performed as well as Allen did in the info commercial. Allen is in the fight of his life and he is honestly shocked that this has happened to him. He has never had to work for anything - everything has been handed to him - just like Chuckles. Spoiled, rich frat boy who never grew up.

Both Allen and Chucklenuts are as deep as a mud puddle, intellectually incurious, inability to employ rational reasoning (stupid, stupid, stupid), riding on the coattails of their daddies and willing to sell their souls to the PNAC for the chance to sit in the Oval Office. The same thing could be said about Bush41 and Reagan - just front men for a "secret government" to trash a country for financial gain. They have to have power to rape and pillage a country's treasury and that is exactly what they have done every single time they have had a chance. As dear ol' Deep Throat said in that underground garage - "Follow the money."

Of course, Allen is now damaged goods to the PNAC so look for them to start grooming another easily malleable fool for '08.

11. Nail on head
They actually pulled Allen back for a while and let Santorum take the "golden boy" title for a while but then even they realize how flawed that model was and pulled it back. I think it is hilarious that both of the next generation of Republican leaders are in the fights of their life.
