These poor people won't understand or even know who these clowns are. How cruel can people be?

1. If someone took a shotgun to the protestors
I wonder if they would understand that it's God's retribution for us all living in sin...

5. I think people should start protesting...
Edited on Wed Oct-04-06 10:49 AM by TwoSparkles
...against these protesters. They are vile, publicity seeking scum who have
no compassion and not an ounce of decency in their evil hearts.

I think people should find out the location of their protests and block their sick
protests. In effect- shield grieving families from these horrible protesters.

There aren't many of these sick protesters are they? It wouldn't take more than 30-50 people
to encircle them and hold up big swaths of fabric around their protest perimeter.

Hate and perversity in the name of religion is beyond sick.

6. Problem is, most decent people
won't want to make it more of a circus than it already will be.

So Westboro will have free reign.

Unfortunately.

26. The Amish are nonviolent
showing up with a gun would be as disrespectful as the protestors. Maybe worse. I think a nonviolent line of people standing between Phelps and the mourners would be a better statement.

2. That's so perverse...
...these people are no better than the killer who murdered those girls.

How awful. Those poor families.

Where's the governments new, microwave-crowd-control weapon when you need it?

7. Oh lord... those poor people... may Phelps & his followers burn in thier
HELL. :grr:

In a related development, a group with links to the Church of the Nazarene in Grove City, Ohio, says it is considering coming to Lancaster County to keep the Westboro Baptist Church protesters away from the funeral locations.

A spokesman with “Leave A Mark Ministries,” a Christian motorcycle club, said his group is discussing plans to make the trip to Lancaster County.

Maybe this article, etc could be re-posted asking for those DUers near by to turn out and help keep these hatemongers away from the funerals? We sure would if we were and could.

...these inbred slime. They're tough and they fight dirty, too. Mostly they ignore their plainfolk neighbors, but they won't see them dumped on.

15. "A Christian Motorcycle Club"
If they're anything like the Christian Cycle Club we have here, these guys are awesome!! Think of big, scary biker dudes who love to do good works for charity (Toys for Tots, Meals for Shut-Ins, Fund-Raising Rides). I would some to see some of Phelps inbreds try to cross these people.

They may be big, good-natured bikers but I'm willing to bet they're not going to let this kind of garbage go unanswered.

GENTLEMEN, START YOUR ENGINES!!!!

because he seems to know no limts.

He's going to push somebody over the edge, and I say the sooner the better.

23. LOL, with rules like that I usually just say...
"I hope they get what's coming to them."

That way I say what I mean and no rules get broken.

17. Just remember....
Phelps brings kids with him on his protests. When I lived in Topeka, KS, I used to see them....five year old kids freezing in the cold with a "God Hates Fags" sign. Made me want to vomit.

The kids are human shields.

Phelps should have those children taken away from him, in my opinion. He is causing them irrepairable harm.

20. I've never been able to get through an entire article on the guy...
but it sticks in my mind that he is a mind-controller and/or guilty of incest. Am I right? Surely, there is something they could charge him on to put him and his group out of commission. I realize freedom of speech enters into it, but decency toward your fellow citizen has to play a role, too.

22. As if the people of Pennsylvania didn't have enough heartache.
The Amish will show the likes of Phelps what being a Christian is REALLY all about. Anyone with the strength to forgive will put the Phelpses to shame a million times over.

24. Pardon me, but
Edited on Wed Oct-04-06 12:57 PM by transeo
how is it any more cruel to protest the Amish than it is for them to protest the gays, the military funerals etc? It's cruel and tasteless all around and I'm really pissed that some people seem to have the attitude that it is somehow worse now that it is happening to religious folk. I'm sorry, it is no more cruel to protest at the Amish funeral than to protest at a gay funeral. It's sick, period, no matter who is on the receiving end.

25. Whoa! I don't think anyone inferred that at all.
Please point out any statement that said it was OK to protest at a gay funeral or at any funeral? These people are vile to protest any anyone's funeral.
