On the Devolution of Freepers
So Friday, Saturday night, I flipped over to the Freeper boards, to see what unique "insights" they had about the Foley "incident".

Some of them showed genuine disgust and outrage (Friday).

For the sake of conversation, lets call this group, for the purposes of this post, the "Semi-True Believers". Left a bad taste in their mouth -- mostly outraged at the fact he was gay, not the actual "innapproprietness" of the act.

Then there was group B. Groub B is interesting during these fragile times, as they are the talking-point "Transmitters/Repeaters". Without talking points, this group generally relies upon past talking points in order to persist through any scandalous crisis, and until Talking Points are officially issued, they are rarely found alone in nature. For the sake of conversation, lets call this group the "Repeaters".

The Repeaters knew Not what to do during the weekend. As you know, Republicans involved in this latest outrage against dignity and decency were in a GOP-unique canabalistic finger-pointing insanity loop. Kind of like a mobeus circle, without the preety colors. Repeaters need very specific sets of instruction -- so they were confused, helpless, afraid, and alone.

Some blamed Hastert, some blamed Foley, some blamed Clinton, most blamed the media. Some had a moment of clarity and blamed the ritualistic destruction of the Republican party during the last 15 years by the authoritarians. But they were vastly outnumbered.

The Repeaters were at a loss, until the Hannity/Limbaugh/Fox News(D) spin machine went into DEFCON-R. Unfortunately, they too are Repeaters, so their unmanaged ramblings just further confused the Repeaters.

Now, the main strength of the Repeaters are their sheer numbers. The Semi-True believers got quickly out-zerged by the Repeaters. The insane are now clearly in charge.

Perusing their posts, the Repeaters are now split between (And these are actually based on freeper posts)

1) Democratic operatives spent years grooming a fake-gay page, probably from an abortion that never was(to hide the SS#'s), in order to infiltrate the Foley camp, springing their trap just before the what-was-already-known-to-be-10-years-agp, this cruicial mid-term election.

2) Monica was 19 when this Bill molested her(She was 22), and this kid, if you travel back in time, then forward, following various incongrouis timelines, he's actually 35 now, so its no longer illegal.

3) Foley sent the origial emails to a 16 year old, but the IMs where sent to an 18 year old, so everything is ok, whats the story here, damn liberal media!

4) Its actually the medias fault. The liberal media knew about this, and didn't report it -- it doesn't matter that Republicans knew about it, as the kid was a plant, but the media didn;t know this so....

I stopped reading at this point, as I realized one fundemental truth.

This country will never be united when far-right-wing whackos will defend a gay potential child-molester that cyber-sexed an ex-page during a national security vote, as long as he has an "R" next to his name,

The fact that he's gay doesn't bother us. But we all know it bothers them to their core.

Peace out brothers and sisters. We will it win this time. And if we don't, I will take my ball, and go home.

1. Don't take your ball and go home.
Throw it (hard) into the guts of the nearest electronic, hackable voting machine.

If the Democrats don't win this time, fraud is surely the only explanation.

Nice writing by the way. You happen to be hilarious.

4. Boy, it's sure gonna be hard to explain that republican landslide.
That is, the landslide which they'll win by, after their friends who own the voting machines get through putting the last-minute "patches" on the machines.
