10. I don't even know how to turn on the TV.
I'll be 62 next week & I never developed a taste for it. I was 10 or 12 years old beforfe it even reached my neck of the woods, so I guess I just didn't get imprinted on it in my early years. Believe me, I prefer it my way. Right now the only sound from "civilization" that I can hear is a jet going overhead.

8. A lot of refuting of lying bastids who now say they didn't talk to him.
Brent Scowcroft for one.
Holds up notes and says "Let's see, I talked to him in June of 2005, October of 2005, February this year..."
etc. etc.

12. That is fucken funny.
It brings to mind that bunch back in the '70's who said Woodward was lying.

I kinda despise Bob, especially for what he's become over the years, but he does carry immense credibility. Everybody knows that he & Carl Bernstein brought down Nixon & W&B were never proved wrong on any significant fact. Interesting that there was that recent echo from the old days, with Deep Throat being revealed, just in time to twang the memory strings for the public & remind them of what happened back in '73-74.

Ours is pre-empted for college football recap coverage (which was interesting since we kicked Georgia up and down the field between the Hedges yesterday. :7 )

17. Yeah, you kicked our asses. Congratulations, dammit.
The most interesting MTP moment to me was when Woodward told Russert about a call he got from Dick Cheney in which Cheney called Woodward's quoting him in "State of Denial" bullshit and then hung up on him.

We have a churlish adolescent one step away from the presidency...

Here's my post about the Cheney hangup

Between the Vols and the Dawgs, maybe we can still bring a national championship to the SEC...uphill from here, though, for the Dawgs.
