Assuming we win the House and the Senate in November...

Assuming we win the House and the Senate in November...
couldn't we pass a law that states that the President must follow all laws passed by Congress as passed, and that signing statements do not exempt the president from any provision of any law?

If he were to veto it, I don't think we could override the veto but I still think we shoud pass one.

2. But he won't veto it..that's the whole point...he'll just issue another
signing statement.

The only alternative is to sue him in court over it or better yet impeach him for usurpations of power ( a charge also brought against Nixon.)

The President is using signing statements as an extra-legal absolute veto which is a power NOT granted to him in writing in the Constitution and therefore FORBIDDEN to him under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution which reserves all unenumerated powers to the people or the states respectively.

It is therefore an unconstitutional usurpation of power and a violation of his oath of office to uphold the Constitution serious enough to warrant impeachment.
