Pelosi:On Bush remarks on his Failed National Security Policies
Washington DC House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on President Bush's remarks on North Korea and Iraq today at a press conference at White House.

From North Korea to Iraq, the American people have seen clearly what it means to stay the course with the President failed national security policies. After six years of ineffective diplomacy by the Bush Administration, North Korea followed multiple tests of various types of missiles by conducting an apparent test of a nuclear weapon, and threatened to test more.In Iraq, with American forces continuing to suffer high rates of casualties, the Chief of Staff of the Army announced today that he is planning for 140,000 U.S. troops to remain in country for at least four more years.

The President policies are not making American people safer. Staying the course won't change that. Its time for a new direction.

I honestly hope if the House and Senate does return to Democratic hands this November, that you and your colleagues in the House and in the Senate will have the brass to start impeachment hearings of Bush and the rest of the Crime Family.

3. Can anyone name a foreign policy success of this misadministration?
For example, have we fostered detente between Uraguay and Paraguay? Suppressed the nuclear ambitions of Monaco? Brought more green to Greenland?

4. I think she should have gone into a little detail on what those failed
policies were, especially on North Korea. That statement isn't going to change anyone's mind who doesn't know the facts. Those who know the facts are the choir.
