7. You are right to be skeptical
especially after what has happened in the last six years

There are a lot of financial analysts out there who are not counting on the republicans losing congress

But there is always the 1st time!!!!!! And I am dying to see
the looks on their faces when dems sweep the congress.

35. Hitting new highs that aren't even getting the market back to
it should be, adjusted for inflation...

Still over 1200 points to go....

37. Correct,-SPX & NDX are hitting 5+ year highs, DJI is hitting all time high
but adjusted for inflation, DJI has to be over 14,000
for all time high.

and I think the highs mean that they are anticipating a dem win.

13. We MUST Win....
I won't get any hopes up over Polls. I have been FUCKED OVER before, so when it happens, THEN I'll celebrate.

I still don't think they're going to allow the Dems to get a majority in either house. We'll see.

17. Lot of chicks being counted before they hatch around here
Edited on Thu Oct-12-06 02:28 PM by kenny blankenship
Many people polled express anger at Congress, but almost as many people as are angry with Congress express general approval of their district Representative.
There seems to be a prevailing attitude around here that one Republican sex scandal is good enough of a platform for Democrats to run without any coherent party message. Maybe, but if there's a victory on that basis it will be very shortlived.

32. Heh heh, that's pretty good.
Thanks for sharing this great news! I hadn't been tracking Majority Watch, dummy that I am. But I've got it bookmarked now in a prominent place.

For what it's worth,Election Prediction has a very similar forecast for the House.

And for the boobirds, Election Projection is saying we'll end up with 215 Democrats and 220 Values Party members in the House. But they're wrong.

We're going to take the House and quite possibly the Senate as well.

Here is a happy song for you to play on November 8.

30. You are correct, the only poll that matters is the one taken on November 7
I'll admit that it's encouraging news but There's a little less than a month left. That's still enough time to make or break a close election.

15. I'll believe it when I see it...
not trying to be a sourpuss or anything. I definitely know that the Democrats will make gains this year, but odds are against a complete congressional takeover. Personally, my Democratic representative (Sanford Bishop) wins easily every time, so until election day I'm going to focus my efforts on helping out Harold Ford in Tennessee.

I really hope it will be that way in November. There are still many close races.
It is great though that several seats that were thought to be save Rep are suddenly toss ups.
