Latest polls, where have they gone?
Is it just me or have most of the "news" websites stopped posting poll results. My fear is that they are so positive for Dem's that it would be too outrageous for the repukes to steal this election if everyone new how far ahead the Dem's are in almost all of the races. The marvelous "liberal media" at work!

1. Ah, looks like Phase VI in stealing elections has kicked in.
In this phase the tracking poll standings are hidden from the bulk of the population
so that when they're 'restated' showing the Thieves in the lead it's more
plausible that they've seen gains.

Happens every time.

2. They are going to have to come up with some semi-plausible reason form the
turnaround. Some reason for their rally, doesn't have to be a good one, just one the wurlitzer can grind on.

3. That's Phase VII...
Something like an Osama Tape or, well, anything really.

It doesn't actually have to have an effect on the electorate, but, it
has to be a plausible lightning rod to point to for the shift in opinion.

4. Why?

They didn't come up with any plausible reasons for OH in 2004. If they don't, what are we going to do?

5. I fear you are right. Also I fear the answer to your question is
"nothing."

6. Well, Rove did make a big deal about the Christian base turning out
Edited on Sun Oct-15-06 10:33 AM by glitch
against gay marriage, and it was parroted a lot in the corporate media. Although only semi-plausible, perhaps that was enough to create a doubt about the reality of the situation just long enough, and by the time that doubt was dispersed the urge to riot had passed.
Not for me, mind you, the urge to riot persists. ;)

Edit to add: I am hoping we are wiser this time around.

Actually I still hear about Rove's "brilliance" in getting out the vote via the Christian base turning out against gay marriage excuse even today. Even Dem "strategists" use it.

7. A couple weeks ago here on DU I predicted polls disapperaing
And I was told by most that that couldn't happen. I feel the polls are critical. We CANNOT let em steal this one, we need evidence, polls are big part of that evidence. We seem to be asleep across the country. Have they drugged us? WTF is going on?

8. Evidence won't help
We have a mountain of evidence that Kerry won OH in 2004 and Gore won FL in 2000, and that's AFTER thousands of blacks were refused their right to vote.

I don't see any way that we can prevent them from stealing it.

What's going on is that the media is completely controlled by the GOP.
