Need another really good reason to vote Democrat in November?
John Roberts, .....50... born Jan. 27, 1955)
Clarence Thomas, ..57 ...born June 23, 1948
David Souter, .....66 ...born Sept. 17, 1939
Stephen Breyer, ...67 ...born Aug. 15, 1938
Anthony Kennedy, ..69 ...born July 23, 1936
Antonin Scalia, ...69 ...born March 11, 1936
Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 72 .born March 15, 1933
John Paul Stevens, 85 ...born April 20, 1920

It's almost assured that Stevens will retire within two years.
Ginsburg will probably follow within another two years.

God knows how many members of the American Taliban that scrubbie has slated for various appointments to the Federal Courts.

A pick up of six-to-seven Senate seats would derail the American Taliban and their profit (sic) george duh-bya scrub.

On note: I realize I left out alito

also on note: This is the first step towards retaking control of the White House. Giving a Dem Pres in '08 a solid majority in the Senate and the House (that begins now) would help to quickly move America in a positive direction.

9. This is a right wing linguistic frame.....
Democrat Party, because we can't possibly be democratic. It's a slur, and many Democrats are offended by it. As the above poster said, if there is a choice, please use democratIC. Because we are.

10. Why let the Right define us?
It's the same as when we use the term "pro-life." A right wing term.

6. This was the reason in 2000 and 2004.
I "screamed and yelled" at people about this back in 2000 ("Bush could conceivably nominate THREE or FOUR justices") and yet it received pretty much NO press coverage.

8. That's the reason I went into a deep depression when Kerry conceded.
The thought of what would happen to the SC. Well, that, and about a thousand other things. But the SC was at the top.

12. That, plus all his talk about not giving up.......
I loved him and I still do but I was heartbroken by that. (sigh) Ah well. Can't change the past, we better throw our energy to the future.

14. That's not the point..

either that is an error (needful to be pointed out) or ??

Alito, Roberts, Scalia, and Thomas are a block of four who would sell out the nation (check how they would rule on SB 520).

They are a voting block that, given one more ideologue, would cave to the Unitary Executive that Bush has proclaimed!

And I hope and pray that J. P. Stevens choose to die on the bench before he would resign, tossing this nation to the dogs.

The GOP Legislative majority has already given away its powers to the Future Would-Be King George II.
