In a valid poll, respondents are selected at random from a population carefully chosen to be representative of how the actual vote will turn out.

In an online poll there is no simple way to prevent people from voting multiple times, and only people who feel strongly enough about the issue are going to bother to vote.

Take a class in experimental design and analysis when you have a chance.
