The purpose of diplomacy is to recognize the culture of another and work within that culture to achieve an objective.
The purpose of hegemony is to obliterate the culture of another and replace it with your own.

3. I would say that the purpose of hegemony is to steal the resources
and labor of others in order to support an obscene and utterly unsustainable, life-style. The result is the obliteration and replacement of the other culture.
