Lookin' good here in Pennsylvania and across the country.

It now looks as if the Democrats are poised to win the 15 seats they need to win control of Congress. The question is: Can the battle-tested incumbents who have run the strongest campaigns -- Reps. Rob Simmons, Jim Gerlach and Heather Wilson -- withstand the Democratic tide? Their performance will determine whether Democrats can cobble together a real governing majority. But the fact that they're all currently ranked outside the top 15 is a sign of the Republicans' woes.

<snip of 5 PA races on the list>

#4 PENNSYLVANIA-10 Don Sherwood (R) Last Ranking: 4

This is one of the few districts where President Bush is more popular than the GOP incumbent. Republicans are hoping a presidential appearance will bring back conservative voters turned off by Sherwood's behavior.

#5 PENNSYLVANIA-07 Curt Weldon (R) Last Ranking: 16

The FBI's investigation of Weldon could be the nail in his coffin. He was also one of the few incumbents with less cash-on-hand than his challenger. Tip Sheet

#16 PENNSYLVANIA-06 Jim Gerlach (R) Last Ranking: 13

Berks County is the key battleground. Whoever wins there should be the victor.

#26 PENNSYLVANIA-08 Mike Fitzpatrick (R) Last Ranking: 25

Murphy's hoping that anti-Iraq war sentiment will propel him to victory.

#37 PENNSYLVANIA-04 Melissa Hart (R) Last Ranking: 45

Melissa Hart (R) vs Jason Altmire (D)
