Lamont missed HUGE opportunity at debate...
When the heckler interrupted Lieberman in his closing statement, he just sat back holding his knees. He should have jumped off his chair and demanded the heckler respect Lieberman's time. He could have came off looking very good and really reached out to Lieberman voters, but he utterly failed. I hate to say it, but that could have been the sole chance to make a lasting impression in the last two weeks.

1. He tried to save it at the end...
when he gave his closing comments. That may have redeemed his earlier inaction. I hope so.

3. Lamont simply needs to hammer home this question:

Speaking of heckling, we need to collectively cyber heckle any Dem that would vote for Joe. Or at least ask them to explain their non-rational thinking. If Joe gets 35%+ of the registered CT Dem vote, he will win. Those of us outside the NE wonder how any true bluer could vote for him:crazy:??? At the most base level, ask this Ed: If every Dem that lost a primary abandoned his party and ran against the nominee of the people, where would that leave us? With the balance of power in the Senate so tantalizingly close to tipping blue, how or why would you vote for a player that quit the team?!

2. you are right about response to heckler BUT Lamont was brilliant otherwise
"Bad Choices in the War on Terror" with wars in ME instead of "protecting our ports."

"As a telecommunications executive, we can connect the dots" to find Osama bin Laden and other terrorists. But if we're to err, we should "err on teh side of our liberties." :wow:

On negative campaigning: Ned's willing to "get away from all the 30-second spots---let's go all over the state and debate....People are worried about their parents getting old and about their kids... and education....they don't want a government that waits 18 years.."

Lieberman "said he wouldn't serve more than three terms."

We need the "250 million that's spent on the Iraq War spent for homeland security."

Schelsingambler tried to scare us, talking about standing in the middle of a nuclear crater.

4. Lieberman...IS
the 'heckler's Senator. Why should Lamont...'jump off his chair' and interrupt? Is he the host of the party?

no one was! It took quite a while for the hecklers to be escorted out. I thought the hecklers were really rude after the first time or two they called and sang out. I mean, people are there to hear the candidates and they can't hear if the hecklers drown out the debate.

OTOH, I was at the Nancy Pharma Johnson (R)-Chris Murphy (D)debate in CT and it was hard to control myself when Nancy PharmaInsuranceTool kept lying.

6. I have to wonder how many lost votes those outbursts
will cost Ned . LIEberman will play it up as Lamont supporters heckling him. Of course, he won't mention the rudeness and downright nastiness of the LIEberkids at the Lamont events they crashed
