Your suffering
doesn't matter to the
pro-pain, pro-death Republican Party. Well, it matters when they can misuse
one woman's sad saga for political gain, but when the potential to help millions of Americans rides on their understanding of what we call science, consider yourself screwed. In
that case, in the case of stem cell research, we've been treated to another Republican trip into the gutter. There, you'll find Rush Limbaugh, an
upstanding citizen who
more or less accused Michael J. Fox of faking it to score votes. Now that he's been confronted on his shameful, reprehensible statements, is he backing down? No, but, then again,
assholes never do:
I stand by what I said. I take back none of what I said. I wouldn’t rephrase it any differently. It is what I believe; it is what I think. It is what I have found to be true.
Yes, my Republican friends, I realize that may have offended your delicate sensibilities. But calling Limbaugh an asshole doesn't make me negative. It just gives assholes a bad name.
