Paccione rallies for seat in Congress

By Douglas Crowl
The Daily Times-Call

DENVER — The Democratic challenger for the 4th Congressional District seat, Angie Paccione, continued her criticism of incumbent Rep. Marilyn Musgrave, R-Colo., Thursday at a rally featuring former vice presidential candidate John Edwards.

Paccione said a latest poll shows her up by a few points and that voters aren’t fooled by negative advertising against her.

"Marilyn hasn’t done anything,” Paccione said. “She’s promoted one issue alone, and that’s the federal marriage amendment, and we aren’t buying it.”

Paccione’s campaign released poll numbers from Democratic pollster Strategic Services showing her with 45 percent of the vote to Musgrave’s 42 percent.

3. That's an internal poll, though
There haven't been any independent polls, that I'm aware of, that have shown Paccione being anywhere close within the last few months.

4. Right. But that doesn't *necessarily* mean that it's unreliable.

Usually if internal polls are bad, they simply keep them internal and not make them public.

Fingers crossed ...

Here are more polls from CO-4. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/writeup/colorado_4-46.html
