nice try. But even if you did, and if you were planning on a war all along, why did you go ahead with generous tax cuts to your cronies? Why did you go ahead and expanded the government and contributed to the largest deficit in the history of this nation?

I can't imagine him finding it funny, a bobblehead lecturing him on the economy.

Clinton from GHWB

they can't accept responsibility for anything. Clinton never blamed daddy Bush for handing him Somalia, Haiti or Bosnia, a huge deficit or the WTC bombing which happened about a month after he took office. He did his job, he was a man.

And she was complaining about the CNN programs "broken government" and all I could think was asking her why she does not follow hubby and keep her set tuned to Faux News where she would be happy with whatever she is being fed, finishing her meals with Kool Aid and be forever happy.

Anybody who has studied Macroeconomics knows to cool off an economy is to raise interest rates, and this was done by the Fed as a monetary policy to ward off inflation. Yes this action will throw the country's economy into a controlled recession. In May 16, 2000 the interest rate was at 6.5%, then starting in Jan. 3, 2001 the interest rate was being lowered all the way to Oct. 2, 2001. Of course there was Bush Jr.'s tax cuts (a fisco policy) that where put into place after Sept. 11, 2001 on top of the earlier tax cuts. These were there to keep the U.S. economy from collapsing into a depression. Then more tax cuts on top of subsidies to strategic industries. Of course, the small businesses (middle class) barely got any breaks (or help) and they are the real entities driving our economy.
