One thing for which we can always count on the Republic Party is the art of over reaching. They are always undone by their own hubris.

And this election cycle is a fine example.

Dog Sex Ricky is sunk. No matter what shitty trick he tried, the net result was more dirt removed from the hole he dug for himself.

Ken 'I'm not gay' Mehlman disavowed the racist ad he commissioned in Tennessee against Harold Ford and Corker 'asked' for it to be taken down. The net result of this little sham is that the latest polls (as posted elsewhere on DU) show Ford ahead of Corker.

Felix 'I'm no racist' Allen's little book quote ploy did the same thing. It blew up in his face and the latest Rasmussen has him down by 3 to 5 points.

For all of you quaking in your boots in the face of the vaunted Karl Rove, get over yourselves.
