5. Another aspect is water resources
Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 02:35 PM by HamdenRice
We all know that the Bushs have been involved in the strategic liquid resource of oil for decades. Well, several companies with which they are closely associated have made moves to acquire similar strangleholds over water. I forget which Bush affiliated corporate officer it was who said it, but the slogan is "water is the new oil."

Republican connected bohemoth Bechtel, for example gained control of water resources in Bolivia -- including rain water falling on private property -- and then charged enormous fees for the people to use it, leading almost to a counter revolution in that country.

Well, it just so happens that the hundreds of thousands of acres the Bushes have purchased in Paraguay sit atop one of the biggest fresh water acquifers in the world, and their neighbor in the Paraguay land grab is Korean nut job/socio path/megolomaniac Sun Myung Moon, who also has a thing about locking up the world's strategic resources.
