So now what about the Nuclear Option?
I was reading through the scum on the freakrepublic site and I noticed a lot of the dirt-bags consoling each other that they could still filibuster because the Dem's don't have a 2/3 majority.

I thought about re-registering to troll but didn't feel like going through the hassle just to have ol' rimjob toss me off again.

I wanted to ask what these posters would have said if Harry Reid came up and offered Frists Nuclear Option to stop this horrible denial of an Up or Down Vote for the President's candidates.

I could just imagine the meltdown that kind of logic would cause those Moran's.

1. Oh that was just a one time only kind of thing
like the Supreme Court deciding that George W. Bush would suffer irreparable harm as a Preznit-sElect, if Al Gore were allowed to get all the ballots counted down in Florida before the Electoral College deadline. Republicans can use a rule like that but not Democrats. It wouldn't be right.

2. Dont really have to worry about it yet
the "Nuclear Option" would only apply when confirming the President's picks for appointed offices, like Court Justices, Cabinet officials, and such. I really dont see the Republicans in the Senate wanting to filibuster any of the current President's selections for any office.

Now, in 2 years, when a Democrat is President, it will be a completely different story. :)
