ASAP, not when Bush, Gates, or Republicans want us to.
I'm already getting some pretty pathetic vibes that smell of kissy kissy and sweetheart deals just from the body language that's gone on today between Bush, Pelosi, and just about everyone else being covered from both sides.
The people who cared enough to vote and the ones who worked their asses off are the people who have been demanding all along we get the fuck out of Iraq ASAP. We've done enough damage to that country and ourselves already. The more we stay the worse it gets. The Iraqis want us out. How much simpler does it get than that?
Has anyone seen any strong indications that our people are going to start ASAP talking about near-immediate withdrawal? Isn't this what Democrats wanted all along if we won? Well we won big, and even though we haven't officially taken over yet, our rhetoric should match the size of our victory today...but it doesn't. Instead, I'm getting the idea that we're going to look into it (withdrawal). WTF? Haven't we looked into it long enough? What's with these rumors that our people are talking about taking their time to get out now? If we don't talk about getting out of Iraq right NOW, then what was this all for?
And what about the accountability we've been demanding for 6 years? All of a sudden, just because we have the power to hold the fucker accountable, we're not going to do so? How the hell can Nancy Pelosi stand up there and tell us right off the bat that impeachment isn't part of her agenda? How pathetic is that to make it not even an option? I hope to hell she was kidding.
We're being way too nice, and we're gonna end up getting kicked in the teeth for it.
We really do need to grow some spine.
