1. Remember the people...
have spoken and Impeachment should not be off the table...demand this!!...impeachment doesn't have to happen now or soon...wait around early or mid 2008 and then press for impeachment...

12. Most people did not vote for impeachment
And why try to impeach a president in his last year.

We don't need to waste time engaging in futile, vindictive behavior or we'll be right back out on our asses come 2009. The voters put Democrats in to get things back on track, not to go medieval on anyone's ass just for the sake of revenge.

impeachment is meaningless after the Clinton witchhunt.

5. You want to win it all in the next elections?
Then this is what you do. You start solving problems not causing trouble like this in Washington.

9. Should we really spend a lot of time, energy and money
Going through the impeachment process, or should we do the right thing: help the poor, start the fix on the health care system, and level out the inequities for the poor that were created over the last six years? Should we kill the Military Commissions Act and the Patriot Act? Can we bring the Geneva Conventions back into the discussion? Should we pull troops from Iraq? Should we provide a better budget that doesn't saddle our kids/grandkids/great-grandkids with huge piles of debt? I could go on and on with issues that are more important than impeachment.

Don't get me wrong - there is nothing I would love to see more than Bush/Cheney impeached and then taking the long perp walk to The Hague. We can go for retribution after '08, and after we've seen to the more pressing problems facing the country.

10. I think saving our country is more important right now than impeachment.
The money and resources would be tied up that could accomplish getting our country back on track.

Later.

It's not exactly what I was looking for, but all I could find thus far. I e-mailed Conyers to ask for verification of his statement, I'll let you know if his people get back to me.

Here's further clarification of his position, although this is a statement from his people whereas Fox News was quoting him directly.
