What happens to Florida politics when Castro dies
Florida politics is ruled by the Cuban electorate. What happens when Castro dies and Cuba becomes one enormous Nassau? What happens to Florida voter block motivations? What are the exploitable angles and opportunities, and what are the potential pitfalls?

2. Cuba won't become Nassau
My guess is the old apparatchtiks will stay in place, and gradually work out the kinks between them and the Cuban Exiles.

4. It should be interesting. There are very old people here who have
lived their entire life waiting to go back to Cuba. In the meantime, they've had children, and their children have had children, etc. I doubt very much the children and grand kids will be going back to Cuba. And I can't see the old folks leaving all that family. Maybe we can make it the 51st state.

10. Maybe Those Castro-Obsessed Cubans Can Go Back to Cuba?
They are the ones who are the driving force behind the rightwing whackiness in FL.

11. Ironic, isn't it?
I've always found the Cuban exile support for the current administration to be somewhat amusing.
They hate Castro with a passion, but support a regime that is bent on destroying American freedom.
Is it Dictator envy?
