Will the new process effect the select of "the" candidate? With
the change by the Democratic National Committee that would place the Nevada caucus ahead of the New Hampshire primary and another primary a week after NH. Will this downgrade the need to win or even compete in Iowa and NH? Will it change these campaigns from retail to media events?

What do you think.

1. No.
It'll still be all about Iowa and New Hampshire, as always.

Frankly, I'm shocked that states like California, New York, and Texas allow themselves to be relegated to back-seat status like that during the primaries, especially to piker states like Iowa and New Hampshire (no offense to residents of those fine states, but they're tiny and really shouldn't be allowed to select our nominees for us every election); but whatever.

2. You mean folks in states decide who the nominees will be?

Getta of town! :wow:

I thought the media was deciding who our candidate were gonna be right now....or narrowing down the field to about three for us!

Until we rein in this arrogant media, I doubt that anything that's done will really change much of anything. Whether they concentrate on something like a candidate's scream after Iowa and before Nevada, tout a candidate's inevitability, or decide to black some candidates completely....they still influence the votes and do as much of the decidin' as possible considering they each only have one vote. :(
