Hillary Plus Bill could make a formidable Leadership Team. But, the PARTY must choose
Edited on Fri Nov-17-06 12:24 PM by Sensitivity
its leadership based on who can best represent the Party principles
and lead the country on the basis of those principles.

Hillary seems to be a good politician and legislator. But the Party rank and file
should be free to assess her principles and strenght of character.

Hillary has done a few thing that raises questions regarding her commitment to principle
and her strengh of character, most recently in her support of the Republican smear
against John Kerry.

In my view, Hillary has now shown she is part of the problem not the solution
to the challenges facing the progressive movement.

The nation faces huge challenges of war, of justice, of wealth and poverty.
Many very difficult ideological battles and politically dangerous decisions
is the lot of any President who leads out of the present circumstance.

We need a leader who is constitutionally able to stand against the grain,
who has developed an instinct for doing the right thing rather than the monentarily most convenient.

2. All Hillary is is a celebrity
Edited on Fri Nov-17-06 12:27 PM by Bombtrack
stupid people know who she is, but that alone does not win presidential elections, especially when that celebrity has been effectively demonized to as many people as she has, enough to spoil said stupid peoples FEELINGS (which is what they base their stupid vote on) come election day.

4. The Pukes will always demonize. Dems should fight back, not go along with slime. Smear on Hillary
should not be the issue.

8. I didn't argue to the contrary, there's just nothing she offers that makes it worth fighting back
or trying to as it relates to the retarded notion of nominating her.

3. Who leads THEM? Someone had to convince Bill to coverup for Bush1 when he took office
because he surely did that. And who needs another Clinton in office who will continue the coverup started by Bill? Bush2 - that's who!

7. Leadership in what direction?
I sure don't like what Carville is doing to Dean. The DLC just doesn't like Dean and I don't know why. Carville loves Hillary and so I have to conclude that Hlllary dislikes Dean and he is doing her bid.

The DLC is starting to seem like fascists as far as Progressives are concerned. It's their way or no way.

I don't care for Hillary Clinton. Even if I did like her, she's too connected to the bad years - the failed health care, and the impeachment especially. Hillary would be a constant reminder to something we ought to put behind us. We need somebody fresh without all the baggage.
