So naturally ..... there was no 'looking back' ........
Our esteemed bipartisan Iraq Study Group has given the Boy Wonder cover to cut and run. That traitorous piece of shit, Lee Hamilton was, of course, front and center in the whole damned thing, just like he's always been in such matters. Most recently we were all regaled by his (way fucking less than) stellar performance in partnership with Tom Kane, covering up the stink of MIMS' machinations on 9/11.

So once again, the group wanted to be so lovey dovey bipartisan and just look forward.

Kum bye fucking ya.

This tired old clown wants to know why.

Why NOT look back? Why NOT find out why we got where we are (as if no one knows, even without a fucking study)?

The situation was termed 'grave and deteriorating'. Doesn't that imply that wrong may have been done? And if it was (as if there's a fucking doubt of that), maybe, just maybe, the clues for the 'way forward' lie in the actions that got us here?

And maybe, just maybe, forcing those responsible for 'getting us there' to be held accountable might ease the inflamed tensions around the whole dreadful mess?

Oh no. Not that.

Anythng but *that*.

Kiss my partisan ass, you shitbirds.

We can't look back. We might learn some things that would make us uncomfortable doncha know. We also might learn to be curious the next time someone in our government lays out a pack of lies and you can't have that.

A crock of crap, that is what this report is.

Edit to add a word for clarification

3. We're not allowed to look back - ever! We would all be like Lot's wife and turned to salt!
We would be playing the "blame game" (gasp!) It would lead to "finger-pointing" (gasp!) If we are to be "bi-partisan" it means we must never examine where we have been and where we came from and who f!@#ked up. Of course, this rule only applies if it is Republicans who have screwed us to a fare-thee-well.

All this nicey-nicey bi-partisan etiquette gets suspended immediately for Democrats.Democrats get investigations over their Christmas card lists and special prosecutors when they buy trailer parks and lose money.

But, Republicans can ignore terrorist threats (even when their own CIA head is running around with "his hair on fire") they can go to war on trumped up evidence, they can let cities drown, they can sell off pieces of our country to the highest bidder, but God forbid that we ever look "backward" and examine any of their calamitous, self-serving actions.

That would be so, so . . . negative. And we just want to be positive and push forward , don't we?

4. Of course not. The Dems who voted for the war only did so because they got bogus intel
from the Smirk Admin. So the LAST thing they needed to do was to vote against somebody who had a history of creating bogus intel for his Executive Branch masters...
