What do you think of Grandma Pelosi so far?
Why do the Repubs hate this Granny so? She's just a little ol' Grandma - surely they don't feel threatened by her? What kind of job do you think she is doing thus far? Has she been too liberal? Too conservative? Or playing it straight down the middle?

1. Tough as nails.
She's cleaning the filth out of the House and a lot of rats don't like it.

3. I just love her, especially making these lazy slugs work for
a living. How beautiful to hear the whining about her being "against the family" because they're going to have to work a full week like the rest of the world. I'm just loving it.

4. She has made this "take over" so much fun

She described bush perfectly, must find her exact words. She has so much on her plate that she needs a full week to accomplish all the legislation, investigations, etc. to put our Constitution to work again. And, not so important, but funny, is making the heavy cruisers get out of what they thought were their digs (offices) on the Hill.

So far she is my favorite Leader.

Edit: Welcome Monmouth!

7. Everything she's done just says
"Don't mess with this Grandma!"
I love the way she threw them out of the offices that they had for 50yrs. It was like she was telling those boys that we're here, get used it, we aren't giving up the house again.

9. She's been OK so far

Not bad. I might have preferred her to have stayed out of the House Maj. leader fight (only because I'm afraid some might keep grudges and might spite her down the road).

Otherwise, she did the smart thing by not backing Hastings for the head of the Intelligence Comm. That would have been a mess. And I'm kinda glad Harman didn't get it either.

Her test will be whether she can keep the Dems in line to vote against Bush's policies, but in all honesty I would find it hard to blame her. The blue dogs are the fucking problem, backing garbage legislation like bankruptcy bill. She has a good vote record and from what I can tell, has tried her best to keep the party unified (other than the Hoyer/Murtha thing) in opposing the reckless policies of this administration.

10. I'm wondering
if her father gave her a set of velvet covered chrome moly-steel alloy knuckles to be used in political infighting. Remember she's the one who kept his index of "favors" updated. :)

11. I adore her! She is making me very proud. Hope she doesn't get a facelift
or lip enlargements, because she is beautiful just the way she is.
