Was There an Analysis of the Military Vote for the '06 Mid-Terms?
I am very curious as to how we scored with the troops this time, especially overseas and those serving in Iraq.

Was there any analysis of this voting sector?

I can't help but believe that the troops voted in greater number for the Democrats this time around, but I can't substantiate it.

If so, then the GOP is in REALLY big trouble.

Anybody here have anything on this?

1. I can't prove it but I believe that the military voted
overwhelmingly for Kerry in the '04 Election.

My reasoning for this suppostion is the fact that the * Administration never claimed to have gotten the overwhelming support of the military in the election.

They didn't want to take the chance of soldiers openly discussing amongst themselves who voted for whom, and coming to the conclusion that most of them voted for Sen. Kerry!

3. I figure the same thing
if the military had voted overwhelmingly for * or in this past election we would be hearing about it, the lack of reporting could very well mean it didn't go their way and they don't want to discuss it.

6. From the Army Times poll:
"President Bush retains overwhelming support among the military’s professional core despite a troubled mission in Iraq and an opponent who is a decorated combat veteran, a Military Times survey of more than 4,000 readers indicates.
Bush leads Democratic Sen. John Kerry 73 percent to 18 percent in the voluntary survey of 4,165 active-duty, National Guard and reserve subscribers to Army Times, Navy Times, Marine Corps Times and Air Force Times."

4. A DU'er said that CNN has a great site analysing '06 Elections
and I haven't been over there...but wonder if the Bushies wouldn't want to cover up the Military Vote if it wasn't favorable to them...just like they do wwith all the other statistics that don't go their way.

 Maybe trying there? I haven't seen a peep anywhere on the Nets about results of Military vote.

Also try "Velvet Revolution" website. They might have something.

5. Limited jurisdictions might report these votes as a separate
number but I'm guessing few and far between. Examples:

MN: all absentee votes are tabulated at the polls with all others.

IA: all absentees are tabulated in their own precinct in a county
