Why we will win in 2008
Edited on Sun Dec-10-06 01:08 AM by antiimperialist
The right-wing enraging too many ex-allies.

First the AP news agency reports on the torching of 6 Sunni by Shia in Iraq, to which right-wing bloggers jumped in to condemn, criticize and insult AP and put in doubt their professionalism.
Strike one. Do not mess with the media. It's gonna cost you in 2008.

The formerly pro-war NY Times should have been left alone by the right when they released their first leak. The right pissed them off so much that the Times now has stepped up its leaking of classified information detrimental to the administration.

The right-wing is even pissing off right-wingers such as James Baker, Henry Kissinger (who recently said we can't in in Iraq), Colin Powel, etc.

There is nothing as avengeful as a wingnut with a hurt pride.
Republicans win elections most of the time thanks to the media. It might be different this time around.

1. I agree...
...I wonder how long the right-wing thinks they can succeed by using these hatemongering tactics? I mean, how many times have they shot themselves in the foot? I emplore them to keep it up though, it'll make a run for the White House that much easier.

and disenfranchising Dems. I'm rooting for John Conyers, Waxman, Bradblog, Kennedy and Pap, and major election reform. I want to push de-piratizing our vote counting most of all. All private ownership of our voting process should be ended.

4. Not so sure.
"Republicans win elections most of the time thanks to the media. It might be different this time around."

True...

But the media wants to get ever bigger, something the right will let them do, and Dems may (should) not. On the other hand, * has been intimidating the media, something that may have come back to haunt them.

5. The reason we 'might' win in 2008 ....
is because George W. Bush and his cabal dont have the sense to follow the consensus position, and are listening instead to the ideological voices in their head that THEY know better than 80% of the population, including many in their own party ....

What I fear most: An outright coup, by either the Military agains the Administration, or by the 'outgoing' Administration for the sake of 'security' ...

I mean: how can George Bush allow those 80% to stop his favorite war ? ....

Nika .... Vanquish .....
