I just don't think we should go hell fire and damnation around the globe
freeing people unless it is directly related to our own national security!!!

Part of it will be missing President Bush, too. The president will not attend Ford's state funeral in the Rotunda on Saturday night, but will return to Washington from his Texas ranch on Monday, pay respects to Ford while his remains lie in state at the Capitol, and speak Tuesday at services for Ford at the National Cathedral

mileage out of them, which is why he's never been seen near a coffin fresh from Iraq, and why he damned near humped Nancy Reagan at the reagan weepathon.

Probably doesn't want to spend much time in the Ford circle since all it'll do is remind people of the fresh news of the Woodward interview with Ford in which Ford dissed bush's war, and the warmonger brothers, rummy and cheney. That would INEVITABLY be the second or third sentence off the tip of any reporters'/pundits'/anchors' tongues as they made their commentaries about the funeral. As well it should be. I'm glad that story's getting some good play today.
