Can I get some help debunking Coulter Crap?

Some mouth breathers at a debate site I frequent have recently posted the hag's column entitled "THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY: A VAST SLEEPER CELL". I don't want to break any rules so I don't think I can link to it. Bottom line, I was born in 1969 and am not an expert on that time period. If anyone could help I would appreciate it. Peace.

If someone uses Ann Coulter as a source, they aren't going to be persuaded by facts.

I'm going to say that 99% of it could be diffused as BS. The other 1% is grammatically correct usage of prepositions and pronouns.

Have you tried snopes? That is the first place to go for debunking. If Coulter has thought up anything historically ridiculous, I'd say a google for "Watergate" would give you plenty of information.

The facts are that Republicans Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford were President of the United States and Commander in Chief from 1969 to 1976. It was Richard Nixon who negotiated the Paris Peace Accord (1973). And it was Gerald Ford who did not act to protect South Vietnam when the NVA invaded in 1975. In Ford’s Tulane speech in April 1975 with NVA forces advancing on Saigon, Ford proclaimed Vietnam “a war that is finished as far as America is concerned."

15.] Q. Mr. President, are you and Dr. Kissinger still insisting on increased aid to Vietnam, South Vietnam, and if so, why?

THE PRESIDENT. Well, the United States made a very significant contribution in Southeast Asia. Unfortunately and tragically, we lost some 55,000 American lives, spent literally billions.

The South Vietnamese are now trying to carry on on their own. We have no U.S. military forces there. We are living up to the Paris accords. The last Congress authorized $300 million more in military assistance for South Vietnam on the basis that that would give them sufficient military assistance so that they could fight aggression by North Vietnam.

I am convinced that that $300 million would give to the South Vietnamese an opportunity to defend themselves against aggression. I strongly believe that it is a proper recommendation to the Congress. I hope that the Congress will respond.
