Cindy Sheehan continues to make a difference
no matter what is said of her.

There is method behind her madness:

Beginning this week, when Bush is expected to disclose his new war strategy, three Senate and at least two House committees plan to call Cabinet members to testify about the president's policy.

The hearings are one way for Democrats to respond to the party's anti-war wing. Last week, as Democrats prepared to assume power in the new Congress, anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan and a group of protesters interrupted a Democratic press conference, chanting "De-escalate. Investigate. Troops home now!"

1. K&R
We all need to consider getting our lame asses out in the streets january 27.

And for our right of center folks, horrified at the thought of unruly unwashed PROTESTORS upsetting the propriety of normalcy, this demonstration is organized by United For Peace and Justice, not World Cant Wait, although I am sure that you all will find some red horror in there too.

2. I'm sure this has more to do with the voting trends in November than Cindy Sheehan.
Seems pretty obvious actually.

5. You really think this wasn't on their priority list before that?
How naive.

6. Some Democrats will only do the right thing if they're pressured to do so.
Otherwise, people like Rahm Emmanuel would squander away their power with an eye on the next election. Cindy is doing a good job.
