Bob Schieffer needs a boot to his ass (Face the Nation)
Edited on Sun Jan-07-07 10:47 AM by LiberalFighter
He keeps asking Pelosi over and over the same questions over and over the first 15 minutes.

Why doesn't someone let him have it verbally (of course in private) and rattle the hell out of him?

3. On the contrary, I thought Sheiffer's questions brought out the best in Pelosi
Schieffer's questions were tough, but she was more than equal to the task. In fact, I thought she was brilliant in her answers to him.

4. It doesn't matter what questions he ask. What matters is.........
that they are answered clearly and intelligently which, I think, Nancy is doing a great job.

6. His brother helped ceate the Bush monster
In 1989, Ambassador Schieffer was an investor in the partnership led by George W. Bush and Edward W. (Rusty) Rose that bought the Texas Rangers Baseball Club. He was designated as Partner-in-Charge of Ballpark Development in 1990. In January 1991, he was named President of the Club reporting directly to general partners Bush and Rose. He was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the club as well as the building of The Ballpark in Arlington, Texas. When Bush was elected Governor of Texas in 1994, Ambassador Schieffer assumed Bush's duties as General Partner. The partnership sold the team in June 1998 to Dallas financier Thomas O. Hicks. Ambassador Schieffer stayed on as President until April 1999, when he resigned to become a consultant on the development of the real estate around The Ballpark. After visiting projects around the United States and Europe, Ambassador Schieffer completed his consulting work for Hicks in May 2000. Until he was confirmed by the Senate as U.S. Ambassador to Australia in July 2001, Ambassador Schieffer served as the President of J. Thomas Schieffer Management Company and Pablo Operating Company

7. I wouldn't want to be held accountable for my sisters' actions
(I don't have a brother)

Guilt by association is unfair especially since we don't get to pick our siblings.

Agreed, Zensea.
You can choose your friends but you can't choose your relatives.

9. I was thinking the exact same thing!
All of my siblings are Republicans and we couldn't be more different in our views!
