Is the MSM becoming less relevant?
or is it my imagination?

It seems like many, many people just don't care what they say anymore.

1. I don't watch the news. I come to DU and I get the news faster and better
than any MSM can provide.

2. I gave up on the MSM in the 80's... you can only listen to lies and bogus
reporting for so long.

3. Yes, I no longer trust their 'news stories' since they are being fed them by the
Bush administration. Just like today, saying voices on a tape talking about gassing the Kurds are those of Saddam and his cousin. Can you translate Arabic? We must relie on those who say that is what is being talked about...and even CNN admits this fact: "Prosecutors did not explain who ordered the recordings or when or why they were made and court officials could not elaborate."

So, how does one know this is the truth? One must 'trust' the media and I don't.

4. The Government controls our media.
Worse yet, the self-absorbed bimbos who are selected primarily for their looks, actually believe WE CARE about their arrogant and spoiled brat opinions. I've never seen so much visual BEAUTY on the outside (Our USA News Models) ---> cover up so much VOMIT on the inside (self-centered and vapid personas). :puke:

8. Politically active people have been aware of the MSM's failure for awhile
But now it seems that other citizens are beginning to reach the same conclusion.

7. I was starting to lose faith in them,
when they performed fellatio on Reagen during the '80s, especially during the '84 campaign. When they pumped Kenneth Starr and the Generation of Swine congressional swill during the impeachment, one fact remained: they really were Rush Limbaugh butt-cheese eaters.

9. I can't speak for everyone, but they're far less relevant to me
than they were prior to the "War Against Gore" and coup of 2000. I lost all respect for them then and I was an addicted news hound at one time reading three papers a day, flipping through all network news stations everyday in an attempt to find the truth. Suddenly it dawned on me, no matter where the news source came from, they were all parroting the same lines, they were working from the same script!

One small example with large implications was the Al Gore claimed to have invented the internet slander. All stemming from an interview with Wolf Blitzer where Al obviously was speaking of his legislative accomplishments championing the internet and suddenly every journalist became a fifth grader not knowing the difference between the work of Congress and a scientist in a laboratory, just outright lying to the people, bearing false witness against a great man and enabling a corrupt incompetent to power leading to Iraq, the non response of Katrina, the rape of the planet and the rising fascism here at home gradually consuming our liberties.

10. I think people see them for what they are...
...and just watches the show that they agree with MOST. I don't see how you can become dogmatic over the media. I hate it even more when these media pundits say they speak for "so and so" in America. No you don't...you speak for you!!

11. I lost all respect for them when they lied about Gary Webb
Gary Webb told the truth about Contra Cocaine. The day I lost all faith in the Main$tream Media was the day that the Screw York Times, Whoreshington Post AND Lies Angeles Times all tag teamed to take Gary Webb out and force him to commit suicide.

From that day on, the so called Liberal Media can go F off!
