White House denies story of Kagen visit

-snip-

Kagen, D-Appleton, was among a group of freshman lawmakers invited to the White House on Nov. 13 for an evening reception that included taking photos with Bush and his wife, Laura.

-snip-

Kagen, still hurting from the hard campaign, reportedly took note that Bush had come to Green Bay to campaign against him and congratulated the president for helping him win in an indirect reference to Bush's low approval rating. Kagen then reportedly greeted the president's wife, Laura Bush, by intentionally using the first name of the president's mother, Barbara, instead.

"I did that because I learned on the campaign trail that the meanest thing you can say to another gentleman is, 'He's a fine fellow.' And then you refer to his spouse by a different name," Kagen is reported to have told a local peace activist group who visited his Appleton campaign office Dec. 19.

In addition, Kagen reportedly told the activists he held the door to a White House men's room closed when he was alone with Rove.

"You're in the White House and think you're safe, huh?" Kagen was said to have told Rove. "You recognize me? My name's Dr. Multimillionaire and I kicked your ass."

1. Shameless kick
Am I the only one that finds this vicariously wonderful and funny? I know I will never get the chance to corner Rove in a men's room - but I sure would like to button hole him and give him a piece of my mind.

Kick

3. I saw him once

On a sidewalk in Austin one fine morning. I was shocked! I was certain it was him, but then again, not quite sure. I couldn't help but stare and he was enjoying it, he kind of gave me a little smirk. Then the crosswalk light changed and we went our separate ways. This was back when the first Camp Casey had just broken up-in fact I was on my way to the Peace March in Austin with Cindy.

I should have assaulted him, but then it surely would have turned out to be an innocent person or worse yet, an innocent karate instructor!

5. It would have been hard to confront
him there on the sidewalk - cornering him in the bathroom where he couldn't get away without a lot of effort, now that's the ticket. Bet he's avoiding public washrooms that the freshmen congress are using!

4. Yeah, in my fantasy
my finger is poked repeatedly in his chest as I rant for, oh, say an hour, I tower over him, and he is sweating profusely from fear.
