Hell no--she shouldn't apologize. That is why dems are depicted as
"weak". Because we are too often coerced by the media into apologizing for nothing. Screw condi rice. She has shown herself to be a liar and an idiot. I just emailed my support to Senator Boxer. We all should.

1. You're right. The Duchess of Windsor supposedly said

"Never apologize, never explain," and it's a good point. Your enemies will always try to turn any apology or explanation against you.

2. What are they picking on Boxer for?
If she made Condi cry, I'll bake her cookies.

3. Hell no!
Apologize for what? For the stupidity of those who twisted her words? She should never, never apoligize for what others have done.

4. I must have missed this.
What is Barbara Boxer supposed to apologize for? Whatever it is, she better not apologize. That's how Democrats get the reputation for being "weak".

6. After saying that Boxer herself had no immediate family members
affected by the war in Iraq, since her grandchildren were too young and her children, too old, she said to Rice that Rice also didn't have any immediate family affected, as far as Boxer knew.

Which some people want to take as a slur on Rice's status as a single woman.

5. The first words out of many a Bush-bot's mouth at ANY opportunity
anymore is, "I find that offensive . . . . " I've heard it frequently this last year or so. I think some of them have decided it's a good talking point, very rhetorically strategic to point out the "offense" of anything that bothers them. That's their response to anything and everything they find uncomfortable. Funny how obviously put-upon and self-righteous and puffed up they are about it too. As though everything were about them. And nothing should EVER cause them even the slightest discomfort.

7. So, where was all the right-wing outrage a couple of weeks ago
when Laura Bush got in a dig at Condi for having no family?

9. Where was the outrage and demands
for apologies when Cheney, honoring and upholding the dignity and prestige of the Vice Presidency, told a Senator on the floor of our Congress to, "Go fuck yourself"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Boxer has nothing to apologize for. Republicans should apologize to the American people and the rest of the world for allowing a lying, incompetent Rice to hold such an important office. Rice has the blood of the 3000+ slaughtered brave American soldiers and countless thousands of Iraqis on her hands and her damn Ferragamo's. I wish Boxer or someone had said that to "Madame Secretary".
