Upcoming hearings will have unexpected side effect for FOX

The coming televised hearings on many topics will ultimately cause the ultimate downfall for FOX News,and their ilk. The recent Boxer so-called "controversy/outrage" just served to point out once again that the target market of Fox et al is the ignorant and uninformed.

Every time they manufacture something out of whole cloth like this latest incident, they will lose some viewers.I imagine lots and lots of people watched Condi and Boxer for themselves because they are intensely interested in Iraq because of their personal involvement. War, death, killing is a great way of making the apolitical political. So, some of those people heard with their own ears in real time what was actually said, and when they watched Fox later they probably said to themselves - "hey, I didn't get that impression and I saw it live."

At that point a little light bulb will go on in their viewer's head. Doubt will creep in. They will start to realize how they have been played. They will realize finally, that FOX is no place to get your news.

This same scenario will be played out over and over in the future as FOX, Rush, et al will attempt to spin the unspinnable. Ironically, they will push viewers to watch the hearings for themselves, because they will create these incidents that will make people say - "Durn! I need to see that s!@t for myself!" They will sit in front of the TV with their little notebooks so they can call in quotes to Rush or prepare for Washington Journal. And they will get an earful. And they will become informed. And they will start dropping like flies from FOX.


I feel quite sure of this.

I get the feeling that they are to stupid to believe their own eyes and still need Rush or some other twit to tell them what they saw.

After watching a talking head say that Hagels comments, even though the RW Rethugs know he is right will punish him because he was disloyal to the party.
The RW rethugs have accepted the principle that the end justifies the means and so they see nothing wrong with believing a lie no matter how outrageous it is if it furthers some idealistic goal like the destruction of government or getting a tax break.
So we will always have that 25% that support bush even if Satan himself recognized George as his son.

If a light bulb hasn't come on in the last decade it means there are no light bulbs to be had. They live in a kerosene lamp world and always will.

The 25% Bushbot "backwash" types that still watch Pox do so because they get the spin they want to get. They will believe what Pox told them they saw or heard, not what they actually saw or heard.

Yes, the repugs I know love to have the answers to specific issues scripted for them.
They love having a 'smaht' response when you put the boots to them.

I usually respond with a chuckle, "you got that from Fox news. Everyone's left the losers
and is watching KO, to know what's going on in the world."

It really works. The look on their face is priceless..

few weeks. My husband and I spent the holidays in Ireland with his family and Faux News is the only American news channel that is on Sky TV. Sky TV is owned by Rupert Murdoch.

We sat and watched some of the coverage of Ford's funeral and laughed our asses off. They kept getting details about Ford's life wrong. The funniest one was when they kept insisting that ole Gerry was a "star running back for the University of Michigan". I said to Mr. Wonderful, "I know that's completely wrong, he played center or guard or something like that".

No wonder some Europeans believe that Americans are fools, going by what's shown on Faux News, it's totally believable.

Their ratings are already sinking fast.
